Do you think she's pregnant?

You may be scared but you are not alone. Right now, she needs you more than ever. Even though you might want to run from this situation, it is extremely important that you help her emotionally and physically. Here are some things you can do to support her:

  • Communicate – Talk with her. Share your feelings with her in a kind, compassionate manner. More than likely, you two are feeling the same way. Listen to her feelings and concerns. It will be hard, but you two are in this together.

  • Educate Yourself – Chances are, you are feeling scared because you feel like you don’t know about pregnancy or how to take care of a baby. You can remedy this by asking for advice, going to parenting classes, and doing your own research.

  • Ask for Help – We understand that in this society, we often feel weak when we ask for help. But it truly does “take a village” to take care of our children. Do not be afraid to reach out to your family, friends, or your community for help. You may be surprised to find out how much those around you care

What Not to Do

  • Do not shut down emotionally.

  • Don’t run avoid your responsibilities – it will most likely make your situation more difficult now and in the long run.

  • Do not pressure her to do anything she does not want to do.
